Film Music
Nick Samuel has worked in a large number of genres and settings as composer, musician, bandleader, engineer and producer.
Nick began making a name for himself as a saxophonist around London's jazz scene, working in bands of diverse and varying styles such as Turbulent Soundscape and his self-led project, Hopper and eventually moving into session work and then into composing/producing for both other artists as well as film scores/soundtracks.
A stylistically diverse composer, Nick's influences are routed in jazz and classical music, however influences are also drawn from pop, rock, metal and alternative genres. His versatile yet unique and subtle approach to composition has led to nominations such as Hopper's shortlisting for the 2007 Indy Awards' "Best Alternative Act" and a final nomination for "Blink" at the Teaserland Awards 2009.
